EPOCH is constantly growing its database. If a building isn't recognized, the app will try to identify nearby landmarks automatically. Every scan helps expand the database for future users.
Explorer is a premium tier that unlocks the Time Machine feature — an immersive AR experience that shows you how buildings and places looked in different historical periods, with AI-generated audio narration.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You can change or cancel your plan there at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
EPOCH requires an internet connection to recognize buildings and load historical content. Previously viewed landmarks may be available from cache, but full functionality requires connectivity.
EPOCH needs camera access (to scan buildings) and location access (to find nearby landmarks). Both permissions are optional and can be managed in your device settings at any time.
Yes. Photos taken for scanning are processed and not stored permanently. We do not sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can request account deletion by contacting our support team using the button below. Your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Note: canceling your subscription does not delete your account.
EPOCH currently supports English, Russian, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and Japanese. The app automatically detects your device language.
